Pepper for Fielding

Purpose:

• Learn to play the ball off the bat and properly position the glove

Equipment:

• Balls, Fielders, Hitter

Drill:

• Setup a line of players(4-6) about tem feet from the coach with bat.
• Have players throw balls to coach and the coach will hit ground balls to players.
• Player field the ball cleanly, when a play is not made the play sits out until only one play is left.

Result:

• Teaches proper fielding techniques.
• Players get ball without knowing they will be hit.
• Players need to make good throws to allow the hitter to keep the game moving at brisk pace.
